Can the Sonex High Wing be trailered? Yes. The Sonex High Wing has a removable outer wing plate, similar to the SubSonex, with an inner wing section. The maximum width of the outer wingless aircraft is 89-5/8" allowing the high-wing quick-build kit and ready-made aircraft to fit into enclosed trailers and marine containers.

Sonex Aircraft expands engine options with Sonex and Waiex B models and offers the same main firewall support as AeroVee/AeroVee Turbo and Jabiru/CAMit 3300 engines while adding engine mount options for engines series UL Power 350i, 350is and Rotax 912. The new universal cap is designed to fit all 4 options.

The B-Model kit has more standard features and requires less time. Machined wing spars and corner parts are now standard. Upgrades and accessories such as AeroBrake hydraulic brakes, dual AeroConversions Throttle Quadrant and AeroConversions Trim System are now included. Improved build times include laser-cut, forged and machined parts, machined arches for easier installation with better fit, easy-to-fit horizontal caps, and the engine that attaches quickly and accurately to the aircraft.

B-Models will completely replace the original Sonex and Waiex models in the Sonex Aircraft product line. The original Sonex and Waiex model kits will only be available for a limited time, but the original model sub-kits will still be available to those who need to complete existing projects and parts of legacy services will continue to generate on demand. B-Models are only available in kit form, but the original Sonex model plans are still available to home builders.

The Sonex and Waiex B-Model kits are offered at an introductory price of $23,000 and a repeatable kit subscription setup is available for $1,000 per subscription. Deposit holders line up for model B bag delivery slots based on date and time. Deliveries of the B-Model kit are expected to begin in June 2016. Customers looking for an early delivery option can purchase a B-Model Tail Kit with their kit order savings, and they will be moved to the front row. The tail will be shipped in March.
